McClellan Park is changing fast

McClellan Park is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Sarasota. It is located in the original settlement that became Sarasota. There is lots of history associated with this area.

It was built starting in 1916 as a neighborhood of fashionable homes in a suburban location just south of "downtown".

Currently I would guess that as a percent of the total homes in the neighborhood there are more total renovations / knock downs that any other neighborhood in Sarasota. Not sure how to prove that but riding my bike all over the city says things are changing fast.

They have a great new linear park on South Seminole Drive. It was great to see this street go pedestrian / doggy friendly. It was a real traffic problem.

The dog walkers are following the rules - cleaning up after their dogs ... too bad no one is cleaning up the "doggy station"

I love the empty frame saying "Picture Your New Home" - It looks like a screen showing the background property..
